About This Project
The project “GEMMA: Paths to Kindergarten”, funded by the Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology, and the follow-up project “GEMMA weiter”, dealt with the mobility of small children. For the first time, the project team collected comprehensive data on the mobility situation of small children on their way to kindergarten in Vienna and Lower Austria. A catalogue of measures is also an end product of the project. The proposed measures are intended to encourage parents with small children to travel to kindergarten using alternative means of transport.
