About This Project
Together with the class 3d of the NTS 4-NMS Schäffergasse Factum conducted the “Sparkling Science” project KidsAct. The aim was to investigate the interaction between car drivers and children. To what extent the appearance and behaviour of children in traffic influences the behaviour of car drivers was a key research question. The pupils were able to get to know scientific research institutions, research literature on traffic behaviour and accident figures. They also conducted group discussions, observed the behaviour of drivers in traffic, asked their parents about their attitudes and interviewed traffic experts. In this way, the students became familiar with the topics of road safety and traffic behaviour. At the same time, they were introduced to the disciplines of transport and mobility as attractive professional fields.
