About This Project
The aim of the research project coop:mob was the development of a generation-spanning, sustainable mobility model for rural areas. This model is focused on elderly people and people in households without cars. One person with and one without a car are combined. They start a cooperation in the form of a barter deal. One person makes his or her vehicle available, the other person takes over driving services. The latter can also use the car for their own purposes during the remaining time. Experience from the project has shown that a trustworthy carrier, a contact person on site, legal protection and public relations work must be in place for a coop:mob mobility model to work.
