About This Project
In the SESAM project, the development of a standard and a measurement method for the evaluation of traffic safety measures at railway crossings was advanced, and an exemplary test with a speed bump was carried out. A combination of thermal imaging and video cameras was used. The method and the standard are universally applicable. In addition, the exemplary test showed that the behaviour of the road users (e.g. timely slowing down, control looks) is significantly better with the sleeper.
