Due to corona crisis measures to promote cycling and walking are popular in many countries. Since Monday 11 May 2020, the city centre of the Belgian capital has officially been a meeting zone for three months. A maximum speed limit of 20km/h is applied. Pedestrians and cyclists enjoy priority. This measure will make it easier for passers-by to keep a safe distance after because of Corona. In addition, 40km of new cycle paths are planned in Brussels.
