HALO: die nachhaltige LED-Jacke aus Europa für Kinder

The company Enjoy Draussen Kids Outerwear, a clothing startup in Purkersdorf, has developed special clothing for children for outdoors. The latest product is called Draussen Halo. It is an LED jacket that ensures maximum visibility and safety for children in traffic. Functional clothing for children has special requirements. The founder, Rob Weinfurter, created his own brand and developed the Halo series. The startup says that the Halo jackets are sustainable, they are produced in Portugal. The jacket itself should consist in parts of recycled PET (e.g. from marine litter), rejects and residual materials from other productions.

There are two versions of the jacket: The LED outdoor jacket for “any weather on the mountain and on the bike”. It is three-layer, waterproof, breathable and windproof. For everyday use there is the two-layer LED softshell jacket with a hood and soft lining. Both models have adaptive lighting: individual seams or surfaces are equipped with LEDs; these ensure maximum visibility of children in traffic and thus increase safety. The LED power supply comes from a standard power bank (not included). The LED control and the power bank can be easily removed, which means that the jacket can also be washed at 30 degrees without any problems. The startup also produces pants, hoods and overalls. There is also an extra service: The startup takes back jackets that are too small, new purchases become cheaper if they are returned at the same time.
