The city of Graz plans to spend 100 million euros on cycling by 2030. The main aim is to create continuous fast cycle routes that also include the surrounding area. Other cities can only dream of such a budget. The city of Salzburg invests around 2 million euros a year in cycling infrastructure. This means that Salzburg is still a long way away from cycling cities such as Copenhagen in Denmark or Groningen in the Netherlands. Graz, on the other hand, will perhaps one day be able to compare itself with Dutch cities.
