About This Project

MINIKOSMOS STRASSE – Under, above and between the street – children and young people explore the street space in all dimensions

In the Minikosmos Straße project, schoolchildren explore the street – visible and invisible, above and below the surface. Streets connect people and so we would like to use the project to connect children and young people with different backgrounds and from different educational institutions by exploring the everyday but mostly ignored “street habitat”. The aim is to arouse curiosity for technology, planning, social issues and interdisciplinary research and to promote a lasting understanding of the complexity of the built environment. The project makes an innovative contribution to addressing current challenges such as digitalization, climate change and conflicts of use in urban areas.
